Therapy Assistants

Therapy Assistants form an important part of the population health service in the WA Country Health Service Midwest Murchison region.  In Midwest Murchison region, therapy assistants work with allied health professionals including speech pathology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

The therapy assistant model is continuing to evolve in WA Country Health Service. There are a number of projects involved in developing the therapy assistant model further. Please click on the links below for more information about therapy assistant services and projects.

This project was undertaken in 2003-2004.

This project commenced November 2004.

WA Country Health Service & Disability Services Commission Therapy Assistant Training Initiative
A training services developed and delivered by WA Country Health Service and Disability Services Commission staff for Therapy Assistants across Western Australia.
