Sandstone
The tiny town of Sandstone, 200km equi distant from Meekatharra, Cue, and Mount Magnet has a population of 47. Situated on the recently sealed road through to Mount Magnet from the Goldfields, it is enjoying the surge of travellers who take time to stop and explore the tiny town and it’s history of gold mining and pastoral industry dating back to the 1800's.
The Nursing Post offers a clinic one day a week, Thursday, with a visit by the Royal Flying Doctor Service clinic once a month, and a monthly visit by medical staff and health workers from the Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Centre, all services are available to any member of the community or travellers.
