Located in the Shire of Irwin, 360kms north of Perth, Dongara is reached from the Brand Highway. Beautiful beaches provide perfect conditions for every form of water sport including fishing, swimming, sailing, surfing and windsurfing, not to mention just relaxing on the beach. Dongara hosts several local events throughout the year including Easter Race Day, Blessing of the Fleet (November), and the Larry Lobster Festival (November). 

Dongara is well supported by local industries such as farming, fishing, manufacturing, gas and oil fields, mineral sands mining, tourism and crayfish processing.
